Rosie's Mom and other stories of the Michigan World War 1 Home Front

Wednesday November 7, 2018 

7:30 PM at the Yankee Air Museum, General Purpose Room, Willow Run Airport

Presenter: Michigan World War 1 Centennial Commissioner Dennis Skupinski

Twenty years before Rosie the Riveter and the Willow Run Plant, Rosie's Mom helped the United States win the World War.  Women were part of Michigan's World War 1 work effort, building bomber airplanes, Liberty engines and other material for the war effort. Learn about Rosie's Mom during the war plus the birth of Military Aviation and the Father of the Military Police Corps in the United States. 

These are FREE events and open to anyone who has a passion for history!
