About The Event

The Nevada Department of Veterans Services will host a day long, WWI Commemoration event that will include a Memorial Service on November 11, 2018 at the Nevada State Veterans Home, 100 Veterans Memorial Drive, in Boulder City, Nevada. 

The event will include a book signing at the veterans' home by New York Times Best Selling Author, Patrick O'Donnell. He will be autographing his book, "The Unknowns, The Untold Story of America's Unknown Soldier and WWI's Most Decorated Heroes Who Brought Him Home." The book signing will begin inside the home at 9:00 a.m.

The Commemoration Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. in front of the home. The programs will be keepsakes, that will include the WWI Commemoration pins. We will also be providing residents of the veterans home with a one-of-a-kind commemoration hat. The event will include music of the time period. Keynote speakers will include Governor Brian Sandoval and Author Patrick O'Donnell. 

There will be displays of WWI memorabilia and even a "WWI Cantina" to provide drinks and snacks. WWI uniforms and period costumes will round out the event which will end with a flyover!  

This is one event you will not want to miss.
