About The Event
The Georgia World War I Centennial Commission and the Atlanta History Center host the state's official ceremony to mark the Centennial moment of the armistice that ended World War I -- the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, 1918. The program will begin with patriotic military music at 10:30 a.m. and participation in the national ringing of the “Bells of Peace” precisely at 11 a.m., followed by the ceremony. The public is invited; admission is free.
