Stoneham Veterans Day Ceremony/Toll the Bells

10:30am Ceremony being held outside of our Town Hall. with participation from community businesses, churches, local Legion Post #115, VFW Post #620, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and local citizens, to honor veterans on Veterans Day (we give veterans in attendance recognition, and a pin for their hat or lapel).

Along with music and speakers, we will all toll bells at 11am as part of this nationwide event. We plan to hand out bells to attendees and are getting the word out about the phone app. Scouts have made thank you cards to be handed out too. 

Following the ceremony, we are holding a 5K and 11K veterans day road race that begins at 11:30am. Veterans participate for free. 

We will also be recognizing a Korean War veteran, Frederick Austin, whose name was recently added to our Korean War monument in front of Town Hall.
