 volution, combat exploits, and postwar struggles of the 369th. The book des
 cribes as never before the details of the Harlem Rattlers' experience, the 
 poignant history of some of its heroes, its place in the story of both Worl
 d War I and the African American campaign for equality.\nJeffrey T. Sammons
  is a professor of history at New York University, where he has taught sinc
 e 1989. He will be introduced by Hamilton Fish V, publisher of the Washingt
 on Spectator and grandson of Captain Hamilton Fish III late of the 369th Re
