DESCRIPTION:<p>A evening of music, pictures and historical narrative celebrating Jim Eu
 rope and the 369th Harlem Hellfighter Band. Written and performed by member
 s of the California National Guard and State Military Reserve Bands, the pr
 ogram highlights the many accomplishments of LT Europe and his ensemble. Th
 is traces the bands travels throughout France as part of the AEF, from perf
 ormances at the Savoy rest area to the front lines in Champagne and leading
  the vanguard into Germany at the end of the war. Their triumphant return t
 o New York hailed them as the most celebrated band in the country. Attendee
 s will hear the long lost music of the 369th and their unique style of play
 ing that transformed Ragtime to Jazz.</p>
