  the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I on November 8th and 9th, 2
 018. The focus of the conference is Imperial Implosions:  The Global Implic
 ations of World War I.\nFeatured speakers at the conference will be Profess
 or Sean McMeekin of Bard College and the author of The Russian Revolution (
 2017) and The Ottoman Endgame:  War, Revolution and the Making of the Moder
 n Middle East (2015)  and Professor Pria Satia, of Stanford University and 
 the author of Empire of Guns:  The Violent Making of the Industrial Revolut
 ion (2018) and The Great War and the Cultural Foundations of Britain's Cove
 rt Empire in the Middle East (2008)\nPresentations will extend over both da
 ys and will include informative talks and educational displays. Speakers an
 d contributions dealing with many aspects of the war, throughout the world,
  will deal with the significant historical implications and reverberations
