SUMMARY:Time to Remember - The Armistice Watch
LOCATION:1124
DESCRIPTION:please make sure I did the repeating event correctly!\nTime to Remember - T
he Armistice WatchExhibition of Commemorative Artwork 'Time to Remember' -
The Armistice Watch. Over a three years period I have constructed an Armist
ice Watch, based loosely on a WW1 period timepiece, aimed at commemorating
the Armistice and Ceasefire Centenary on 11th November 2018. This is a cont
emporary artwork created as a fitting tribute to those who gave the ultimat
e sacrifice in order for us to enjoy the lifestyle of today. This will be o
n loan to the Musée de l'Armistice in Compiègne, France, site of the signin
g of one of the most important documents of modern history. This will be in
-situ and on display for the Centenary and for 6 months afterwards. The Mus
ée de l'Armistice forms part of the Memorial de l'Armistice, including the
Glade of the Armistice‚ which 100 years ago paved the way for peace. This i
s a personal artistic homage to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice irres
pective of race, colour or creed, whose loss is our gain. My wish is that t
his can be an interactive part of this Centenary, opening avenues of Rememb
rance, Reflection, Respect, Reaction, Reviews and Response. The Armistice W
atch will be available in future for further exhibition at various location
 s World-wide.\n
