DESCRIPTION:On November 11, 1918, Holyoke's own Father (1LT) William F. Davitt was Kill
 ed In Action at 9:45am in France. At 11am, just 1 hour and 15 min later WW1
  ended and Father Wm Davitt was the last American Officer Killed In Action 
 in WW1. Father Davitt lived an extraordinary life of service. Starting here
  in Massachusetts working with troubled youth to combat valor on the battle
 fields in France. He died as he lived, in service to others. Father Davitt 
 is at final rest at Calvary Cememtery, 2140 Northampton St, Holyoke (near K
 -mart). On the eve of the 100th anniversary of his supreme sacrifice, we wi
 ll honor the life of Father William Davitt with guest speakers, Military Ho
 nors and the VFW Graveside Ritual. The Public is invited to attend.\n
