 ber 11 2018, marks the hundredth anniversary of the day the guns fell silen
 t at the end of the First World War. Approximately 4.7 million U.S. soldier
 s were mobilized and 116,708 American military personnel died during World 
 War I from all causes. Over 204,000 U.S. soldiers were wounded and 757 U.S.
  civilians died due to military action. The Anne Loucks Chapter of the Nati
 onal Society Daughters of the American Revolution, in coordination with Vet
 erans of Foreign War post #1351 Martinez and the Veterans Commemoration Com
 mittee, is holding a commemoration and wreath laying ceremony in honor of t
 hose who fell during the years of this conflict. This event will begin with
  the traditional two-minute silence at 11:00am to mark the time when hostil
 ities ended in 1918. This will be followed by a wreath laying ceremony and 
 personal remembrances by chapter and post members whose family served in WW
 I. Attendance is free and open to the public.\n
