2. A full and detailed description of the event sufficient to understand what the event is, who is putting it on, and what to expect when attending.
Georgia Veterans Day Observance
Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017 in downtown Atlanta
10:45 a.m. Opening ceremony
11:11 a.m. Parade starts on Peachtree Street at Ralph McGill/Ivan Allen Blvd., proceeds south on Peachtree, west on Baker Street, past Centennial Olympic Park, the World of Coca-Cola and the Georgia Aquarium, turns left on Marietta Street and ends at the CNN Center.
Following the parade, an all-day Veterans Day Festival will be in Pemberton Place (lawn between the Georgia Aquarium and the World of Coca-Cola) with exhibits
The Annual Freedom Ball in the Oceans Ballroom of the Georgia Aquarium – Black tie formal event, tickets $75 each at georgiaveteransday.org/freedom-ball
6:00 p.m. Social hour and silent auction
7:00 p.m. Dinner and Military program begins
All events free and open to the public except the ticketed Freedom Ball
