Fourth and Final Event in Arlington's Exploring World War I in Film Series
Mathilde is waiting desperately for her fiance to return from the war. When bad news arrives she refuses to believe he is dead. Instead, she begins her own investigation into his infantry, hiring a private detective and piecing together his war stories.
Event begins at 6 pm with an introduction to the film by J. Brinton Rowdybush. Mr. Rowdybush holds a doctorate in political science from U.C.Berkeley, and retired from the State Department after more than 20 years as a Foreign Service Officer. He is a member of Arlington County's World War I Commemoration Task Force.
