About The Event

The theme for this year's Bishop Hill Chautauqua is World War 1, the War to end all Wars. This is a free family-oriented event, where you will hear professional re-enactors, such as Brian Ellis and Ron Edgerton, tell inspiring stories about the historical characters they are portraying. Herbert Hoover, Winston Churchill, General Black Jack Pershing, and others will appear at the village park in Bishop Hill, IL to tell the audience the War from their viewpoints.
