“The AEF Proves its Worth: May 1918 and the Battle of Cantigny” -This event will encompass school groups coming on Friday the 4th, a paid night “trench warfare at night” program on the 4th and 5th, with trenches open to the public throughout the day on Saturday. A main interpretive theme will be interpreting how the Battle of Cantigny was the first major AEF led offensive that was a success. We are starting here to start playing interpretation off of the 100 years ago theme. We will also be working on expanding the “sap” position during this event.
