May 20, 1950, was declared the first Armed Forces Day by President Harry S. Truman. This day is a celebration for all men and women in service, past and present. On May 19, 2018, we will be celebrating the armed forces and WWI Centennial. The American Legion Post 370 will be performing the color guard, and the Wolfgang Dixie Jazz Band will be performing a concert of WWI era music. Joining the Jazz Band will be a first-person interpretation of Frances Golden, who performed for troops for the YMCA during WWI. Please join us in celebrating the brave citizens of this country. This event is free, but donations are encouraged. We hope to see you there!
This event will be held at 4 pm and again at 7 pm on May 19th.
