We invite you to submit your event to the U.S. National WW1 Centennial Events Register, where it will become part of the permanent national archive of WW1 Centennial activities. Please include an image for the event, such as the event poster or sponsoring organization logo.

2. A full and detailed description of the event sufficient to understand what the event is, who is putting it on, and what to expect when attending.
Thursday April 27th through Sunday April 30th in Norfolk Virginia’s Scope Arena.
Over 1,000 performers from all over the world in a display of military bands, drill teams, massed pipes and drums, Celtic dancers, choirs, and more. It is the largest tattoo in the United States, drawing an audience of over 40,000 people each year.
The nine-day celebration will commemorate Camp Sherman, one of the 16 cantonments established in 1917 for rapid training of soldiers. Special events include a parade, fireworks, Veterans' Appreciation Day, live performances and World War I films at the historic Majestic Theater, band concerts, block party, and World War I encampment.
