About The Event

On November 11, 2018, at 11 am, Lompoc Museum and the Rancho Purisima Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will host a re-dedication of Lompoc's World War I Monument. The project to clean, repair, and enhance the existing monument was undertaken two years ago. The dedication will follow the program of the original dedication of the monument on Lincoln's Birthday, February 12, 1925, followed by an Open House. Erected by the Women's Civic Club, the monument had fallen into disrepair and obscurity over the last fifty years.
