This dinner gala is being organized to mark the the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I using a Michigan perspective. The event will include displays that tell the stories of 34 Michigan men and women who have served our country over the past 100 years beginning with WW I. It will also recognize and honor our state's current service personnel. Frank Beckmann will be the Master of Ceremonies for this event, which will feature SSG Travis Mills as the keynote speaker and music performed by The Governors Own 126 Army Band. Doors will open at 5:00 PM with a cocktail hour during which the displays may be viewed. Guests will be seated by 6:30 PM for the beginning of the program and dinner. The formal after-dinner program will begin at 8:00 PM and conclude by 9:30 PM. Tickets are $150 and may be purchased on-line at Eventbrite.com. Net proceeds from the event will be used to support the operations and programs of the organizers, the Michigan Heroes Museum and Military Families United.
