Veterans Day Ceremony: A World War I Remembrance

Please join the Missouri State Museum in commemorating the centennial of the armistice that ended World War I on November 11, 1918. The museum will honor the nation's veterans and its own history as the state's Soldiers' and Sailors' Memorial Hall with a brief ceremony starting at 10:50 a.m. The event will culminate with the tolling of the Bells of Peace at 11:00 a.m. (local time). Following the ceremony visitors are invited to view the Here at Home: Missouri in the Great War exhibit. Visitors can also take a self-guided WWI themed walking tour of the Capitol and the grounds. The free tour brochure is available at the museum's tour desk. This event and the exhibit are free and open to the public. Weekend access to the capitol is via the carriage drive on the south side of the building. All visitors are subject to security screening. For more information please call 573-751-4127
