Widener University will host a daylong public symposium that marks the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I. The “World War I Centennial Symposium” will explore the rationale for the Great War, its impact, legacy, and Widener University’s connections to the conflict.
The day will feature three 30-minute lectures, a Veterans Day ceremony, a talk on the poster art of World War I that features more than a dozen historic posters, and a closing reception in our Pennsylvania Military College museum, which features a new World War I exhibit.
