Women in Wartime: Tribute to the Women of WW1

This event honors the women who supported the war efforts. The women of World War I demonstrated their ability to take on traditionally male roles and paved the way for future service of women in the U.S. military.

  • 2:20 p.m. Introduction of Rear Admiral Margaret Kibben, USN (Ret.) (Confirmed)
  • 2:21 p.m. Invocation, Rear Admiral Margaret Kibben USN (Ret.)
  • 2:23 p.m. Introduction of former National Commander of the American Legion, Denise Rohan (Confirmed)

  • 2:33 p.m. Introduction of the film “A Soldier’s Journey”

  • 2:56 p.m. Program concludes with Wreath Laying Ceremony outside tent at General John J. Pershing Statue. Admiral Howard will lead participants outside.
