About The Event

World War I ended on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. Commemorate the armistice by making a remembrance poppy andcelebrate our veterans with cake! Cake will be cut at 11 am and is first- come, first-served. Poppy making will be available throughout the day.  Explore the museum exhibits, including Over Here & Over There: College Park during World War I.  Free parking. Walkable from College Park – UMD Metro station.

Free for active duty or retired military and up to four dependents. ALL AGES!
