Ringing for Peace: A Carillon Concert Commemorating Armistice Day

Commemorating the centennial of the peace settlement that ended World War I on November 11, 1918, carillonists world-wide are ringing peace from every bell tower on 11/11/2018 at 11 a.m.

Dr. Pamela Ruiter-Feenstra will offer the Ann Arbor premiere of Geert d'Hollander's "A Sacred Suite," commissioned by and dedicated to Luc Rombouts, composed for the Peace Carillon in the Norbertine Abbey of Park in Leuven. Other works include Andrew S. Allen's "And they shall beat their swords into plowshares," written for Tiffany Ng; Elizabeth R. Austin's "I Felt a Funeral in My Brain, John Courter's Gregorian Triptych: Requiem Mass for Carillon, and Ronald Barnes' "Heavenly Welcome."
