Commemoration of Sullivan's Islanders in World War I

Memorial and wreath laying ceremony will honor the two Sullivan's Islanders who lost their lives during The Great War. This will include speakers, prayers, color guard, and reenactors. Taps will sound and the Bells of Peace will toll from Stella Maris and Holy Cross Churches on Sullivan's Island. The mayor of Sullivan's Island has proclaimed Sunday, November 11th, 2018, as Alexander Izlar and Marion Keenan Day. Doughboy reenactors will be then be present at Ft. Moultrie.

Admission to the fort is free the entire day.
