SUMMARY:The Annual Historic Grace Episcopal Church Veteran's Day Ceremony

DESCRIPTION:<p>Join York County and Historic Grace Episcopal Church (ca 1697) at the An
 nual Historic Grace Episcopal Church Veteran's Day Ceremony which will take
  place at 10 am Sunday, November 11 at 111 Church Street, Yorktown rain or 
 shine. After "Dedication of Flags", brief remarks commemorating the end of 
 World War 1, prayers and playing of "Taps" in the church, we will process t
 hrough the Historic Church Graveyard replacing American Flags on each of th
 e 93 known graves of Veterans (Revolutionary War, Civil War, Philippine Ins
 urrection, World Wars 1 &amp; 2, Korea, Cold War, and Vietnam) with "Honors
 ." 6 known Veterans of World War 1 are buried in the Church Cemetery . At 1
 1 a.m the historic church bell will toll as part of the Nationwide National
  Tolling of Bells to honor those who served in the Great War. This special 
 event is sponsored by the United States World War One Centennial Commission
 . Grace Church parishioners, their families, friends, and all visitors (esp
 ecially Veterans, Military, and their families) are welcome to attend and p
 articipate. Brownies from Troop 1087, Williamsburg and Airmen from the 377t
 h Logistics Readiness Squadron JB Langley Eustis are scheduled to assist in
  this program. A Commemorative Program listing all the known Veterans burie
 d at Grace Church with a brief biography will be provided to each attendee.
  After the ceremony all are welcome to attend the Grace Church 11:20 am ser
 vice in the church and at 1:00 pm attend a presentation by Tim Smith at nea
 rby York Hall who will talk about York County's WW1 Veterans. Contact LtCol
