DESCRIPTION:<h3>Armistice Film Festival at the Lamp Theatre</h3><p>A speaker, a ‘Bells 
 of Peace’ ceremony, and a Film Festival have been planned to commemorate an
  important time in our history when the Armistice was signed 100 years ago 
 and hostilities ended the Great War on November 11, 1918. To offer a time o
 f reflection, the Norwin Historical Society will deliver a commemorative pr
 ogram by starting off the day discussing how World War I impacted the town 
 of Irwin, PA and the surrounding communities. This presentation will be fol
 lowed by a ‘Bells of Peace’ ceremony at exactly 11:00 AM EST.</p><p>The Arm
 istice Film Festival will follow, beginning at Noon, and is being offered t
 o provide a learning and sharing opportunity about World War I, and the sig
 nificance of the ‘War that Changed the World.’ This exclusive Film Festival
  package was made available to the Lamp Theatre in Irwin from a donation ma
 de by Andrew Capets, author of the book 'Good War, Great Men.' From the sal
 e of his book, a donation of $500 was made to the National World War I Memo
 rial in Washington, DC.</p>
