As part of Virginia’s commemoration of the World Wars, this symposium marks the 100th Anniversary of America’s participation in World War I. National experts will focus on leadership (broadly defined and including high-level civilian leaders) and generalship of American forces in combat and on the home front. The symposium also aims to highlight the contributions of VMI graduates, the Virginia National Guard, and other Virginia institutions to the war effort.
