North Texas in WWI: Mobilization for The Great War

About The Event

The First World war had a major impact on the North Texas region. It's impact affected lives, the economy, and the culture of the region.

This collaboration of organizations across North Texas will include displays on the following subjects:

1. Welcome and WWI Timeline

2. Pre-war and Mexico Texas Border Conflicts

3. The Army and Camp Bowie

4. Multicultural Aspects of WWI and North Texas
◦ African Americans
◦ German Americans
◦ Jewish Americans
◦ Native Americans
◦ Mexican Americans

5. Regional Culture

6. Army Air Service and Royal Flying Corps airfields

7. The Home Front

8. A World Overview

9. Interactive opportunities for young and old

10. Curriculum development and study guides for school use

11. Living History

This will be the first of two regional exhibits by this group. The second exhibit will take place in 2018.
