A Centennial Encampment: America Goes to War

About The Event

This event is a living history timeline encompassing the period of America's involvement in events leading up to and including participation in WWI. Living history reenactors from all over the country are coming to historic Presidio La Bahia to portray soldiers with Pershing in the Punitive Expedition to Mexico, Mexican Villistas , Federales, Soldaderas, Doughboys , and soldiers from the Entente and Triple Alliance. Reenactors will camp and provide demonstrations relative to the period such as US Cavalry, Signal Corps, Machine gun crew. A concert of period music will be performed in the Chapel at the Presidio Saturday night by the Toast of the Coast Barbershop Chorus. A Facebook page has been set up under the title of the event, for more info and a place for reenactors to register to participate in the event. Registration for participants ends October 30th.
