"Polar Bears" Memorial Day Service

About The Event

The 89th annual Memorial Day Service honoring the "Polar Bears" of the American North Russia Expeditionary Force will be held at 11:00 AM on May 28, 2018 at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery in Troy, MI. The service will be held at the Polar Bear Monument, which is surrounded by the graves of 85th Division soldiers who died in North Russia. The service will include a Color Guard, speakers, vocalist, wreath ceremony, rifle volley, and "Taps". This event will be held rain or shine. White Chapel provides seating that is under a cover. There is no charge for this event, which is open to the public.
