Joseph Raoul Lefrançois served in World War 1 with the United States Army. The dates of service are: Known May 23, 1917 till killed in action Sept. 26, 1918.

 

Ainse-Marne Offensive of July 18 to August 6, 1918; St. Mihiel (American operations); Meuse-Argonne offensive [died on the first day]; KIA: private in the 102nd Machine Gun Battalion, 26th Division, at Marchéville-en-Woëvre (in a plain located between the Meuse [to the west] and the Mosseile Rivers; Woëvre is northeast of St. Mihiel), a native of West Rutland VT
