William Jesse Strickland mugWilliam Jesse Strickland born around 1898. William Strickland served in World War 1 with the United States Army. The enlistment was in 1917 and the service was completed in 1918.

Story of Service

 

William Jesse Strickland and his brother, Larry Young Strickland, sent many letters to their sister during the war. The letters are now in the Heard County Historical Museum in Franklin, Georgia, and were donated by their great-niece, Selmah Bowen.
