Platsburg posterThe New York State World War One 100th anniversary commemoration commission has officially been signed into existence by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
"There is no more fitting way to honor and remember these heroes than teaching the present generations about their actions," said State Senator Jack M. Martins, who introduced the measure into the state legislature along with Assembly Member Michael DenDekker. Some 400,475 New Yorkers served in the U.S. military during World War One, the largest number from any state in the U.S. Check out the New York commission and its plans here.
