SARAJEVO to ISIS

(Washington) - U.S. House of Representatives staff filled the room for a talk during the last week of their recess given by Commissioner Dr. Libby O'Connell, Ph.d. O'Connell is Chief Historian at the History Channel. The session set up by Congressman Yoder's Legislative Assistant Mike Brooks and staff of longtime WWICC supporter Congressman Cleaver. Dr. O'Connell tracked the causes of unrest as a result of the treaty that ended WWI from the middle east to China, (Qīngdǎo to be precise -- westernized as Tsingtao, a popular beer). Commission teacher resources are always available here. A second performance is planned.

DON'T BE FORGOTTEN!

(Baltimore) - Do NOT miss Commission Chair Rob Dalessandro's talk at the American Legion Convention in Baltimore last week. The Commission was well represented on the convention floor by this guy.

FAMILY MATTERS

(San Francisco) - Commissioner Alfred Valenzuela related military family tragedy to that faced by General Pershing with the loss of his wife and daughters in a fire at the Presidio in San Francisco. The General added the Commissions wreath to that placed by the Pershing Rifles. See it here.

'SARAJEVO to ISIS' was the title of a talk by Commissioner and senior historian at the History Channel, Dr. Libby O'Connell, Ph.D.
