This pristine historic building was built to honor those soldiers from Hancock County, IN
who made the Supreme Sacrifice in Defense of Freedom during the World War, 1917 - 1918.
There is a bronze memorial plaque on the building dedicated to the memory of war time
President Woodrow Wilson and a bronze Honor Roll plaque with the names of Hancock
County’s war heroes. The Honor Roll plaque was placed there by the Hancock County
Chapter of American War Mothers.
