This bronze flagpole base is decorated with sphinxes on each cor­ner and wreaths beneath inscriptions on each side. On the top is a tulip-shaped holder for the flagpole. It was created by Joseph G. Cowell and Gorham Manufacturing Company and dedicated in 1935 to honor the Wrentham citizens who served in WWI.
