Granite memorial on the grounds of the Pike County Courthouse. Nine names from WW1 are listed on this monument.

Inscription: Dedicated to the everlasting memory of those from Pike County who gave their lives in the service of their country in World Wars I and II Korea and Vietnam. Erected by American Legion Post no. 197.

Located in Veteran’s Memorial Park, an obelisk inscribed listing deaths from WW1, WW2, Korea and Vietnam.  Six (6) names appear on the WW1 section.  Only combat deaths are listed, including one from the sinking of the HMS Otranto.

Inscription:The City of Cedartown and Brewster-Cleveland Post 86 - American Legion - Dedicate this monument to the glory of God in honor of the men and women who lost their lives while serving against the enemies of the United States of America - Dedicated November 6, 2004.

A separate POW marker lists one name from WW1.

Inscription:  “ Dedicated to Honor Pulaski Countians Who Paid the Supreme Sacrifice to Preserve Our Freedom.  Erected 2002 by VFW Post 6077”

“Veterans Park – Dedicated by the Patriotic Citizens of Pulaski County to All Those Who Served to Defend Our Country in All Wars. – VFW Post 607 – American Legion 125”

Names are listed for all major US conflicts.  The WW1 section lists five names.

There is also a monument on the Pulaski Courthouse grounds. 

Inscription:  “Erected and Dedicated by Hawkinsville VFW Post 6077 In Honor of and in Memory of All Veterans of Pulaski County for Their Sacrifice in Service of This Nation”.   Nov 11, 1996.  Photos of this are in the photo gallery.

Multi-monument park adjacent to Rabun County Courthouse.  Eleven WW1 war dead are inscribed on a bronze plaque, along with those of WW2, Korea, and Vietnam.  Companion monument is inscribed: “Dedicated to Those of Rabun County Who Served in Defense of Their Country and Especially Those Who Made the Supreme Sacrifice.  By Rabun Memorial Post 220 The American Legion.”
