American Battle Monuments Commission

Established by Congress in 1923, the American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC) commemorates the service, achievements, and sacrifice of U.S. armed forces. Educating the next generation is critical to ABMC’s mission to illuminate the service, experience and sacrifice of those honored at ABMC cemeteries and memorials.

ABMC is supporting the U.S. World War I Centennial Committee’s overall education planning and coordination efforts.
