U.S. Veterans Organizations

Throughout the 19th and 20th Centuries, members and veterans of the US Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Coast Guard, and Air Force formed many professional and fraternal organizations related to their service, the ships (and later, aircraft) on which they served, and the battlefields and theaters of action to which their service took them. Civilians also created organizations to support robust armed forces that could protect the nation's sovereignty and prosperity. Today, a wide array of organizations and associations in the United States continues this tradition of support. Whether you are a civilian, a serving member of the armed forces, or a veteran, check out the cross-section of organizations below, and find one that fits with your interest or experience. Many of these groups will be organizing or taking part in World War One Centennial commemorative events.
