Commission Approves Music/Art/Literature Projects
Washington, DC - The Commission endorsed 8 projects at its meeting in Washington last week. They include an animated film on the true story of an unbreakable bond between a soldier and his dog - dubbed "Sergeant Stubby". Other projects endorsed were two musical projects, photo exhibits, an exposition, and a book. Commissioners also set budget requirements for 2016, and noted that the schedule for the development of the National World War I Memorial in Pershing Park is on track.
CBS Takes Interest in CountDownToVeteransDay
Washington, DC - CBS/Westwood One recorded an interview with Chief Development Officer Roger Fisk last Sunday afternoon about why one day a year is not enough to recognize our vets. His piece is scheduled to air on the 700 stations of Westwood One before Veteran's Day.
AUSA Participation
Washington, DC - The Commission completed the fall schedule of trade shows with an appearance at the Association of the United States Army show at the Washington Convention Center. This trade show is the largest of the shows in which we participated this year -- about 30 thousand strong. The Commission also exhibited recently at the Air Force Association Show and the American Legion Convention in Baltimore.
